I was the Lead Production Editor for the third largest IEEE Computer Society in-house magazine.

My tasks included flowing author tagged Word documents into our InDesign templates, adding figures, creating tables, and setting all paragraph styles.

During final production, I would create theme colors, set the imposition, design cover text, place house ads, work with editors for final corrections, and create PDF files for press. Once uploaded to our vendor's site, I would do a final review and approval files for print.

Transactions

I was responsible for the processing and publishing of 20 journal periodicals at the IEEE Computer Society.

My tasks included converting electronic author artwork, assigning DOIs, and posting preprint articles to the digital library.

Once issues were ready for publication, I would update metadata, process XML, add supplementary files, and post completed issues to the Computer Society Digital Library and syndicate the issues to IEEE Xplore.

When the periodicals transitioned to the new OnlinePlus model and ebook products, I created the cover art for all journals and their CD labels.

cPS Full Service Design

Working with the Conferences Publishing Services group, I was the lead graphic designer for their in-house design services.

I was responsible for designing and creating several product types for conferences which included: book covers, program covers, CD labels, app art, logos, electronic homepages, USB drives, and web headers.
