The first "Truth Behind Technology" conference by the IEEE Computer Society as part of their Rock Star series of events.
Inspired by the power to ignite the energy and passion of the technology field, I also created alternative blue flame lapels for the speakers as blue flames are the "hottest" color of fire.
A new logo created for the IEEE Computer Society Conferences group who wished to showcase teamwork with conference organizers in achieving their goals of success.
I wanted the logo to tell a multi-point story of team unity and coming together with clients at an open table. The table and outer silhouette formed by the participants form two gears to represent engineering.
A wordmark logo designed for a new publication that curates the top 13 technology publications of the IEEE Computer Society.
My idea was to design a colorful and flexible logo, allowing it to easily adapt to the cover art of each monthly publication as it communicates the idea of hot topics.
A bold logo designed for the new Women in Computing community at IEEE Computer Society as a resource for women to reach their goals and advance their careers.
My design inspiration was achieved by talking with several women in computing. I formed the "W" shape to be bold and solid while adding a small touch of circuitry to represent the engineering and computing focus.
A logo refresh for the Technical Committee on Computational Life Sciences.
I wanted to keep the double helix mark while removing other excessive design elements and add more 3-dimensionality through the use of gradients. The secondary helix breaks into smaller pixel bits that represent both the digital and life (cells) aspects of the science.
A logo design for a brand new hybrid journal publishing model aimed to bridge print and digital media.
I wanted to bring focus to the new digital offerings of the journal publication by emphasizing how the new product provides more value than previous subscription models.
I helped brainstorm the tag line in a meeting and it stuck immediately.
A simple yet playful logo to brand a new "watch & learn" series for the IEEE Computer Society's Professional Education group.
I wanted to capture the message of online video learning through using an enclosure design that represents a computer screen and a play button for the tittle of the lowercase "i".
In addition to the traditional wordmark style of a IEEE Computer Society journal on haptics, this new journal wanted a symbol paired with the title.
I wanted to approach the symbol with a more artistic style while still showcasing how haptics is related to touch, feel, and response.
A new design to be used as a basis for the 2017 and future IEEE Cluster conference.
My approach was to create a new symbol that showed a simple representation of a cluster, with a small connected unit along with a larger one encasing it that formed a "C".
A logo refresh for the IEEE Software Technology Conference.
The long time chair and organizer approached us for a new look. With this design, I wanted to create a forward moving abstract icon with pixel bits representing mission critical information.
The IEEE/ACM Symposium on Edge Computing conference wanted to create a new logo.
I approached this conference with a series of lettermark concepts. The final design was created by bringing the initials tightly together to play with negative space and form a unique shape within an enclosure that represents a CPU for computing.
A concept logo to update the branding of the IEEE Computer Society Digital Library.
With the unique spelling of the name and the focus on online research articles, I added a double twist to the "x" by bringing in a colorful representation of a user (author and subscriber) and <tag> brackets for the accessible content.
The organizers of the International Conference on Computer Vision approached our team wanting a new logo for 2015.
The organizers requested a skyline of Santiago, Chile against the Andes mountains with a rising sun. I designed an eye-shaped aperture to represent the computer vision.
A new design for the International Symposium on Embedded Multicore/Many-core Systems-on-Chip.
With minimal art direction, I played with creating the "MCSoC" acronym using a combination of negative space and connecting elements while forming the look of many connected cores on a singular chip.
A combination mark designed for a new airport limo service under FarHeap Solutions, Inc.
For this collaborative design, I was responsible for drawing the lineart of "Pip the plane".
This logo was created for a local home contractor.
The griffin symbol was designed after the owner's surname of Griffin to create a personal mark. The lineart style and classic font choice represent the owner's superior quality of work and integrity.
With this logo refresh, I was tasked to update the look and feel for a small marketing business.
I drew a new crown shape and added purple as the classic color of royalty and to represent the firm's quality and creativity for their clients.
A freelance commission for a small family-owned music store looking to update its branding.
With free direction, I played with combining the store name with a classic guitar silhouette and adding the power of sound waves to represent how music reaches out to all of us.
